Commuter Loop Service Change

Effective March 4, 2019, Boston Express I-93 will no longer offer passenger drop-offs at the State St, Park St and Tufts NEMC on specified morning southbound schedules.  Stops will be ADDED close to the intersections of Surface and State, as well as Purchase and Summer (see map below) to allow our commuters to disembark close to their workplace and MBTA transit hubs, before continuing to South Station.  As we have limited experience with these new stops, they may be removed or changed as dictated by safety and traffic concerns going forward.

We understand that these changes may impact the convenience of our service, but ongoing construction, pedestrian traffic, and car/TNC traffic throughout the existing “commuter loop” have created a host of safety concerns for our drivers, which have only grown more serious in recent years due to the traffic congestion in Boston.  This change will allow us to more safely maneuver the streets of Boston and continue to provide a quality transportation alternative for our passengers.

We appreciate your patronage and thank you for being a valued customer of Boston Express.  We look forward to continuing to serve your commuter and travel needs into Boston.
