Half-Fare Policy
Half-fare eligibility: Seniors (65+), Medicare cardholders and Persons with Disabilities (certified after completing a Half-Fare Eligibility Form) are eligible to pay half the one-way cash fare weekdays on Northbound routes from 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Southbound routes from 9:45 AM - 8:30 PM and anytime during the weekend.
To receive a half-fare eligibility card, please contact Boston Express at 603-845-1999, download the form or request one in-person at any Boston Express location.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are good indefinitely*, can be for any denomination, and can only be used on any Boston Express scheduled service. Gift Certificates can be purchased in person at any of our terminals except South Station. Sorry no online or phone sales. Ticket fares are deducted from the balance on the gift certificate. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. If order exceeds the amount of the gift certificate, the recipient must pay the remaining balance. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. The recipient of the gift certificate must travel with a valid form of ID. If the certificate is intended for a child without a form of ID or is between the ages of 8-11 traveling without an adult, then a parent or guardian must be present at the time of ticket issue. Please visit Policies and Procedures for more information on valid forms of I.D. and child policies. *Once a ticket(s) is issued, the ticket is valid until the expiration date printed on the ticket.

* First child rides free with purchase of full-fare adult ticket. Additional child(ren) pay the rate noted above.
Children's Fares : A child 15 years of age or younger may travel free with an adult purchasing a full fare ticket. One child rides free per each adult full fare ticket. Additional child(ren) qualify for the "Child" fare. This applies only to Boston Express schedules.
Same Day Fare : Those traveling round-trip within the same day qualify for our "Same Day" fare from select locations. Tickets are void after the last coach of the night (11:00 PM from South Station and 10:25 PM from Logan Airport) on the day the first half of the ticket is used.
Student Fare : Those traveling round-trip with a valid student photo identification card qualify for our "Student" fare (elementary school through college) to either South Station or Logan Airport. This discount does not apply to the same-day round-trip ticket.
Active and Retired Military : Those traveling with a military identification card qualify for our "Military" fare. Dependent military cards do not qualify for this fare.
Half-Fare Program : Those 65 years of age or older, Medicare cardholders and Persons with Disabilities qualify for the "Half-Fare" Program. The program is valid for one-way tickets only on the following schedules: all weekend travel, travel Southbound between the hours of 9:45 AM thru 8:30 PM, and travel Northbound between the hours of 7:00 AM thru 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM thru 11:00 PM.

Boston 10-Ride Commuter Pass (21 days) : These passes are provided for the frequent traveler. The pass provides 10 one-way rides (5 round-trips) that need to be used within 21 days from the date of purchase. Passes are good for travel to South Station and are non-transferable.
Logan Employee Commuter Pass (21 days) : These passes are provided for Logan Employees only. The pass provides 10 one-way rides (5 round-trips) that need to be used within 21 days from the date of purchase. Valid employee identification is required for ticket purchase. Passes are good for travel to Logan Airport and are non-transferable.
Further Fare Information : All tickets are non-transferable. One-way tickets are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Roundtrip tickets are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. All fares can be purchased at one of our New Hampshire locations in Manchester, North Londonderry, Londonderry, Salem or Nashua.
