Half-fare eligibility: Seniors (65+) - no application required, just present your ID to show eligibility to receive the half fare for the schedules noted below. Medicare cardholders and Persons with Disabilities (certified after completing a Half-Fare Eligibility Form) are eligible to pay half the one-way fare for the following schedules:
Southbound between 4:00 AM and 4:20 AM and between 9:25 AM and 8:30 PM;
Northbound between 6:25 AM and 2:00 PM and between 6:25 PM (leaving Logan; 7:00 PM leaving South Station) and 11:00 PM
Anytime during a scheduled Boston Express fixed route service

Gift certificates are good indefinitely*, can be for any denomination, and can only be used on any Boston Express scheduled service. Gift Certificates can be purchased in person at any of our terminals except South Station. Sorry no online or phone sales. Ticket fares are deducted from the balance on the gift certificate. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash and cannot be returned for a cash refund. If order exceeds the amount of the gift certificate, the recipient must pay the remaining balance. We are not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. The recipient of the gift certificate must travel with a valid form of ID. If the certificate is intended for a child without a form of ID or is between the ages of 8-11 traveling without an adult, then a parent or guardian must be present at the time of ticket issue. Pick-up and drop-off points are: Nashua Park & Ride at Exit 8, Tyngsboro Park & Ride at Exit 35 and Boston's South Station.
The ticket counter at the Exit 8 Park & Ride is open daily Monday-Friday from 5:45 am - 7:15 pm and 8:45 am - 4:45 pm on Saturdays and Sundays (the 6:00 am passengers will purchase their tickets at our Exit 35 terminal). The Tyngsboro location is open daily from 6:00 am - 7:30 pm.
With the exception of the children's fares, discounted tickets of any type are not available through our online store. These tickets would need to be purchased in person at an agency. This includes commuter tickets and monthly passes.
Children's Fares : A child 15 years of age or younger may travel free with an adult purchasing a full fare ticket. One child rides free per each adult full fare ticket. Additional child(ren) qualify for the "Child" fare, which is half of the adult full fare ticket price. This applies only to Boston Express schedules.
Same Day Fare : Those traveling round-trip within the same day qualify for our "Same Day" fare from select locations. Tickets are void after the last coach of the night (11:00 PM from South Station and 10:25 PM from Logan Airport) on the day the first half of the ticket is used.
Student Fare : Those traveling round-trip with a valid student photo identification card qualify for our "Student" fare (elementary school through college) to either South Station or Logan Airport. This discount is $5 off the regular round trip fare only and does not apply to the same-day round-trip ticket.
Active and Retired Military : Those traveling with a military identification card qualify for our "Military" fare. Dependent military cards do not qualify for this fare.
Half-Fare Program : Those 65 years of age or older, Medicare cardholders and Persons with Disabilities qualify for the "Half-Fare" Program. The program is valid for one-way tickets only on the following schedules: all weekend travel, travel Southbound between the hours of 4:00 AM and 4:20 AM and 9:25 AM thru 8:30 PM; Northbound between the hours of 6:25 AM thru 2:00 PM and 6:25 PM (leaving Logan; 7:00 PM from South Station) thru 11:00 PM. Tickets are valid only on the day of purchase and are available at the ticket agency.
Seniors are not required to fill out the application but will need to present ID to show eligibility. Other travelers must have their half-fare card in order to receive the discount. Boston 10-Ride Commuter Pass (21 days) : These passes are provided for the frequent traveler. The pass provides 10 one-way rides (5 round-trips) that need to be used within 21 days from the date of purchase. Passes are good for travel to South Station and are non-transferable.
Logan Employee Commuter Pass (21 days) : These passes are provided for Logan Employees only. The pass provides 10 one-way rides (5 round-trips) that need to be used within 21 days from the date of purchase. Valid employee identification is required for ticket purchase. Passes are good for travel to Logan Airport and are non-transferable.
Monthly Pass : Valid for unlimited travel within a calendar month. Pass may be used between both Logan Airport and South Station destinations. Non-transferable. Passes are available 10 days before the month of use. Monthly passes cannot be purchased at our South Station location.
Further Fare Information : All tickets are non-transferable. One-way tickets are valid for 90 days from the date of purchase. Roundtrip tickets are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. All fares can be purchased at one of our New Hampshire locations in Manchester, North Londonderry, Londonderry, Salem, Nashua or Tyngsboro, MA.
